Senior Infants have been learning about the Fire Station. In Role Play we pretended we were driving a fire engine and going down the fire pole. In Small World, we drove the fire engines on the mat and pretended to put out fires in houses. In Junk Art we made fire engines and fire stations. We have been using the writing table to write labels and notes for our play. We did a science experiment and learnt that fire needs air to stay lit. A Fire Fighter sent a special video to our class for Fire Safety Week and showed us their fire engine and where they store all the tools. We also got to ask questions to a Fire Fighter on Zoom and he told us all about his job. We have been practising our school fire drill, and know the quickest and safest way of getting out of our school in an emergency. We have really enjoyed learning all about Fire Stations
