Fourth class put in a lot of work planning their fourth class assembly, and it certainly paid off. We all worked together on a theme and settled on the 1980s! This led to the class creating the “Yesterday News Show” the children were very excited and worked on their different parts of the assembly.
We had a news reporter, a weather man, the camera crew and our skits group that created all clips and ads throughout the news report. The news show reported on sports stories such as the “hand of God” goal, as well as pop culture reports including Rick Astley and Bon Jovi. We even had special guests- an expert on the rise of online gaming and ABBA. There were some advertisements for both Rubik’s cubes and Lego! It ended with a weather report on the big snow in 1982!
