STEM week was a great success this year, and 3rd class really enjoyed all of the fun interactive activities. Actives and experiments were completed each day for science, technology, engineering and maths. One of the activities was to create newspaper towers. In groups the children had to plan, construct and create a tall newspapers tower that could stand for 30 seconds and withstand a ‘gust’ of wind. Each group had different strategies on how this would work the best. All of the children worked really well together and created very impressive newspaper towers. Another activity during the week was to create a mini robot using LEGO and programme it on the ipad to speak, dance, move and play music. This week was really enjoyable; the children learned a lot and really enjoyed all of the hands on experiments/activities.
