St Matthew’s Colours Cup in 1st Class

On Friday, 1st Class joined the rest of the school at Irishtown Stadium for the first St. Matthew’s Colours Cup. The day started with a visit from the Irish Women’s Rugby World Cup. This was very exciting as some member from the Irish Women’s Rugby team came and answered some of the questions we had.

We broke up into our classes and started with the day’s activities. We did the long jump, races, throwing a wellie and parachute games. Everyone in 1st Class tried their best and had lots of fun. We also got some ice cream and a goodie bag!

At the end of the day, we found out which team had won the cup. 1st Class would like to thank the PA for organising a great day and all the parents who volunteered on the day. We can’t wait for next year!
