Special Visitor Day

Last week in St Matthew’s all children had the opportunity for a special visitor to come into their classroom. 6th class worked with Lego Wedo whilst the guests were coming in. Jesse’s granddad presented a slideshow all about his experience in World War 2. He told us all about growing up in County Clare and hearing the planes overhead. We were very lucky to be given a first hand recount on life in the war.

Jack’s granny was also in and told us she attended the original St Matthew’s. It was definitely very different to the St Matthew’s we attend now!

Finn’s granny came in to tell us some funny stories about her cat and how it used to steal the washing.

There were lots more visitors to Sixth Class on Special Visitors Day and we all hope they enjoyed their visit!
