Here in 4th class, we celebrated science week with lots of different activities. One of our homework tasks was to pick an experiment to show to the class. There were so many experiments from exploding volcanoes to changing the colour of the flower’s petals! The message behind the task was to ensure we understood why the changes were taking place.
John explained why the volcano reaction occured – ‘The baking soda and the vinegar are opposites -the vinegar is an acid and the baking soda is basic. When these two come together they cause a reaction and this is why the fizz was formed.
Have a look at some of our experiments!
