Over the past few weeks, 4th class have been busy working on their Native American Projects. The class were working in pairs on a tribe of their choice. There was a huge variety in the chosen tribes, ranging from the Apache tribe to the Cherokee tribe. Some groups even dressed up as tribe members for their presentations!
As part of the projects, we learned all about totem poles and what they represent to each tribe. As a homework activity, each child made their own totem poles using illustrations to represent their lives! Lots of creativity was used for this task as we had totem poles made from wood, potatoes and paper
