Junior Infants have had a busy 2 months since they began school. We have been learning lots, working hard and doing lots of fun activities!
Over the last two months: we have started Aistear, had a virtual visit from a fireman, played lots of new games, made wonderful junk art creations, learnt lots of new sounds and made loads of new friends. It has been lots of fun.
Our Aistear theme for September was all about our homes. We learnt about different types of houses, rooms in our houses and we talked about our favourite rooms in our houses.
Our Aistear theme for October was all about school. We learn all about the people that work in our school. We took a tour to see all the classrooms in St Matthews. We pretended to be the school secretary, principal, students and teachers in the home corner.
Our upcoming theme is all about people who help us. In preparation for this we had a Zoom visit from a fire fighter who told us all about what he does. It’s going to be very exciting to help lots of people during play!
