Marine Environment
Junior Infants were learning all about marine life for Green Week. We looked at the plants and animals that live in the sea.
On Monday, we were very busy litter picking in the school yard with 4th Class. We cleaned up all the rubbish and the school yard looks so tidy.
On Wednesday, we learned all about penguins and how they are covered in feathers that are tightly packed together. These feathers have an oil-producing gland that makes their feathers waxy. The wax on the feathers repel the cold water and help keep them dry.
Lastly, on Thursday we used recycled bottle caps to make a lovely fish bowl art activity. It was great fun!!
