We’ve had a very busy and fun filled winter term in Senior Infants! We learned about the season of winter and did lots of winter based art work. We learned a lot about 2D and 3D shapes and formed different colour patterns. We love to keep active and have been practising our throwing and catching skills too!
Our themes this half term were ‘Space’ and ‘Christmas at the Post Office’. We were very imaginative in role play- we were astronauts and space engineers in our rockets heading into space, and we were postmen and postwomen sorting and delivering Christmas cards and parcels. We made many imaginative creations during play time- we love junk art! We’ve enjoyed learning Christmas songs and poems and we recorded Calyso Carol in the church! We also listened to Christmas songs from Germany, Spanish, France, and Hawaii. We enjoyed singing the Spanish song, Feliz Navidad!
