5th Class Trip to Town

On Tuesday, 5th Class walked into town to visit The National Archaeological Museum on Kildare Street. On the way to the museum, we stopped off in Merrion Square to have our breaks and to play in the playground. The museum is fascinating and we would recommend a visit. Some of our highlights were: The Bog Bodies, the Battle of Contarf and The Viking Exhibition. When we finished in the museum, we walked to Grafton Street and had McDonalds! It was delicious. Afterwards, we began our long walk back to school. We were exhausted, but we had a great time!

The library is part of the complex of buildings from 1890 that includes the Museum of Ireland Archaeology Branch and the Irish Parliament’s building – Leinster House all in Kildare Street.
