Sixth class were very lucky to be invited to the AIB in Sandymount as part of the Learning About Banking Initiative. We had an excellent tour of the bank, and learned about a typical day in the bank. We were shown how the ATMs worked for both withdrawals and lodgements. Sixth were delighted to see the note counter in operation. They were very excited to see the vaults, and had many questions about robberies! They were shown a presentation about digital banking. Each pupil was given a souvenir of a one cent coin as these as being phased out of circulation.
