6th Class Science Workshop

Sixth class had very active workshop with the Rediscovery Centre. The Rediscovery Centre supports sustainability through the reuse of resources. As part of their programme, they offer Science workshops to schools. Sixth class had a super time exploring forces such as pushing, pulling, floating and sinking. Sixth had to design a parachute, and then had to figure out ways to make the parachute more efficient. They had a great time exploring floating and sinking as well. They were encouraged to guess which plasticine boat would float. Sixth were surprised to learn how much the shape of the boat determines it’s ability to float.
